This page documentates the history of bumpkincraft and it's seasons. It might only have started a few years ago, but it will probably be nostalgic in the future, so properly storing the past minecraft worlds and describing the events is necessary to us.
SEASON ONE
The first season started at the end of 2017 and began with just Pingi, Athenakids and Qalculate. It ran on a free minecraft host with only two gigabytes of ram. Later on, FireHeart joined in.
Back then we weren't planning on making Bumpkincraft a multi-season SMP server. It was just a fun little place to build in after school, which still persists to this day, or not, depending on who you ask.
Since we weren't planning on making the server multi-seasoned or serious at all, we called the server "Bumbocraft" after the cactus with a moustache from Hermitcraft, the server that inspired Bumbocraft in the first place.
After the summer vacation of 2018, the four of us were playing less and less and eventually we all became inactive, making the server die out slowly. This fueled the rise of a fresh start.

SEASON TWO
The second season started in september of 2018 and began with five members: Athenakids, FireHeart, Pingi, Qalculate and RebelSky. Alot more preperation was put into the server this time, but it was still held on the same free minecraft host. The two GB of ram combined with the five players didn't really work, meaning that the server was prone to crash.
We decided that we wanted to distance our server from Hermitcraft, meaning we had to change the name. We chose "Bumpkincraft" because Athenakids liked the word "bumpkin" when it was brought up.
Season two was the first season where events were held at spawn. Build battle and BuildSwap were the first but also only events to be held this season.
Two is the shortest season to date, existing for less than half a year. In april of 2019 we decided that we should start a new season, since the server had been inactive for a few weeks with only one person at a time online. Motivation had gone too low and we decided to change things in the next season.
SEASON THREE
The third season started on the fourteenth of April 2018 and it began with six members: Athenakids, FireHeart, Pingi, Qalculate, RebelSky and xTijs. The server was now hosted on a paid server with three GB of ram. This time, the server wouldn´t be capitalisation based, but it would have more of an socialist-communist economy. No one had their own base. Instead, everyone helped building a kingdom on a 2000x2000 block peninsula, which we called Bumpkin. We began with the 200x200 block city "Kolos". It was all to be built in the medieval style and it would have lore connecting all the locations.
If you look at the gallery, you'll see that we didn't get much further than the city. Kolos was to be the biggest project, meaning it would take the longest to build and this lead to the slow death of the season.
Season three had a lot of custom features, like custom blocks, villager trades and even in-game location music. Season three also had an elaborate event for Christmas, where you had to find the presents hidden by others throughout Bumpkin.
Season three ended slowly, because working on one project for such a long time got boring very fast. It began with xTijs leaving within the first two months and RebelSky having no inspiration to build. Even if the core concept of the season failed, Season III is still the longest season to date with almost a year of building before it ended very suddenly, in March 2020 when we decided that a break from working on Kolos would benefit the server. We wanted to go back to the old SMP style server. This break has become it's own season, as BumpkinCraft: Legacy isn't going to end anytime soon.
